JJM — Water Quality & Village Committee🔬 Water quality · VWSC testing · ₹30-50/month maintenance

Village Water & Sanitation Committee: Every JJM village has a VWSC that runs the local water system — at least half the members are women. Five women in each village are trained to test water quality using Field Test Kits.

What you pay: ₹30-50 per month per household to the VWSC for operations, electricity, and minor fixes. PHED handles major repairs at no cost to you.

If something is wrong: Water discoloured, pressure low, or suspect contamination? Report to your VWSC first, then PHED. Both are responsible for fixing it.
